Join us at the Mary Scott Community Orchard for open summer sessions designed for all ages. Twice each week, an outreach educator is on-site for three hours to welcome visitors, answer questions, and help you explore everything the orchard has to offer. Whether you're stopping by for a short visit or staying the full time, each session is an opportunity to connect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy the space at your own pace. You can also stay infomed through our Facebook page!
Each session features hands-on activities led by an experienced orchard outreach educator. Visitors can take part in seasonal tasks like plant care, harvesting, and observation, as well as creative, art-based projects inspired by the orchard environment. Activities are flexible and accessible, allowing participants to engage at their own level while building skills in environmental awareness, creativity, and problem-solving.
Our summer schedule is designed to make the orchard a place of discovery and connection. Visitors can learn about fruit trees, pollinators, and sustainable practices while engaging in guided conversations and informal demonstrations. These sessions also provide a space for community connection—bringing together families, students, and organizations to share experiences and build a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
