This is Jen and she has been a teacher-partner from the beginning! A career educator and avid learner, Jen believes in learning about nature and all it has to offer and sharing that with others. Learning means pushing into what we don't know. Come by for a visit and leave with something to think about!

We work to acquaint the community with the MSCO. On scheduled dates and times, an experienced orchard outreach educator faciltates visits and field trips that enhance the orchard experience. We support community organizations and community summer camps with hands-on activities, learning, and art-based activities.

We were able to support teachers and provide the tools and professional training to make the MSCO a feature of student learning. Through a grant from the Wayne County Foundation (WCF), we are supporting teachers in Richmond with field science kits to use with their students and classes. Wayne County Foundation has supported the orchard for several years. Many thanks, WCF!

A robust exchange of teaching ideas is part of what makes the orchard a great place to bring students and teach.

We work with teachers from a variety of school settings and backgrounds. Our common goal is effective and engaging learning in the great outdoors.
