First Saturday of Each Month (April–October)
Mary Scott Community Orchard at Mary Scott Park
Time: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM
105 N.W. 8th Street, Richmond, Indiana
No experience is needed—just bring sturdy shoes, a water bottle, and your love for the outdoors. We provide tools, gloves, and guidance. Come once or come every month!
The Mary Scott Community Orchard is part of our broader mission at Wood Block Press: to support authentic learning through nature. Whether you’re a student, educator, parent, or neighbor, you belong here. Let’s grow stronger, healthier, and more connected—together.
Wood Block Press invites you to join us in cultivating something meaningful—right here in the heart of the community. The Mary Scott Community Orchard (MSCO) is more than a beautiful green space. It’s an interactive, outdoor classroom where curiosity blooms, sustainable practices thrive, and people of all ages connect with nature.
From April through October, we welcome volunteers on the first Saturday of each month to help maintain this vibrant space. These mornings are dedicated to hands-on care and connection—pulling weeds, spreading mulch, pruning trees, watering plants, and more.
