Since its inception, teachers and students have been at the heart of the orchard, deeply involved in learning, engagement, ecosystem education, and service learning. We are committed to fostering their active participation and connection with the natural environment.
We collaborate year-round with teachers, students, and other community groups from various local schools and other community organizations, welcoming groups who regularly visit and contribute to keeping the orchard vibrant and well-maintained.
We believe everyone brings valuable ideas to the table. That’s why we regularly seek input from teachers, students, and community members on the orchard. Their feedback provides fresh perspectives, helping us continuously improve and make it a welcoming space for all!
Learning is at the heart of our mission and is woven into the very design of this space. With the orchard’s interactive features and our online resources, teachers have the tools to create rich, extended learning experiences here. The possibilities are endless!
We’re not here to reminisce about the past or complain about the present, but it’s true that both kids and adults spend more time indoors these days. Enjoying the outdoors should be an intentional choice, a mindful way to spend time. Slowing down to sit, walk, and immerse yourself in the sounds and scents of a fruit orchard offers a natural calm—all within city limits! Come experience it for yourself; it’s like having your own peaceful retreat right here! And you can use your phone to learn more about everything there!
